Why see Lynyrd Skynyrd?
The Icons On Tour
Lynyrd Skynyrd has been together, in one form or another, since 1964. Their signature is the magical blend of not two but three guitars, which have weaved their way through iconic hits like Sweet Home Alabama, Simple Man and of course the ten-minute epic Free Bird, which raised the bar to impossible heights for every guitar solo which was to follow. Catch them as they celebrate their 50th anniversary this year, heading out on the 'Sharp Dressed Simple Man Tour' with special guests ZZ Top!
Following the passing of longtime guitarist Gary Rossington, the group's line up now consists of Johnny Van Zant on vocal, Rickey Medlocke on drums, vocals and mandolin, Michael Cartellone on drums, Mark Matejka on guitar and backing vocals and the aptly named Peter Keys on keys, with Keith Christopher on Bass.
