EAGLES WELCOME SWEET TALENTED DEACON FREY!
The Eagles began with an emotional moving harmony with them all lined up
across the stage. Glen Frey’s son Deacon was front center in his gentle
spirited way. Deacon is stepping up to use his beautiful voice and natural
talent to sing where his late father Glen Frey has left a vacancy once
described as irreplaceable- Deacons voice took over perfectly. It was an
experience one has to see and hear! Vince Gill is on tour with them and his
soul balanced the missing parts. Best sound ever, best concert so happy to
have the opportunity to see this superbly gifted group in Dallas our home.
Thank you Eagles, great sound Deacon you did it!❤️ Not to be missed tour!

THE SONGS AND THE HARMONIES
Always wanted to see and hear the
Eagles live. To sing along and hear
tens of thousands of people singing
together has to be the best
experience a human can have.
Songs are still great, harmonies are
moving, The Eagles still have it. Joe
Walsh?, c’mon! Great.
Beautiful Stage and backdrop.
Pushed through with a couple
meatheads beside us who arrived
drunk and were served an additional
7 beers each. They were eventually
hanging off us.
Nothing bad just annoying. My wife
and I left early missed one song, not
bad to avoid getting more beer
spilled on us and the eventual good
by hugs and or shove haha!
Great show.

TRANSITIONAL
This was my third time seeing the Eagles and the first for Jimmy Buffet. Saw the
Eagles 3 years ago in Miami. I was interested to see how they would handle the
transition to a "new chapter" without Glen, the bands long time front man. Don
Henley stepped out from behind the drums more than he has in the past. I see this
as him taking more of a leadership role now as the patriarch of the band. They put
Deacon Frey right up front there next to Don so I thought they must have a lot of
confidence in him. He does sound a little like his father. At only 24, I hope that his
voice continues to mature and that he only gets better. They spent a lot more time
doing the old stuff than in past shows I've seen. Nearly an hour, most led by Vince.
Too much of that. Only 1 song from Long Road Out of Eden, a 2 CD set. That was
disappointing. As always, no one rocks the house like Joe Walsh. Would like to see
them back in the studio. Jimmy Buffet, same ole tired sing-a-longs for 40 years

TOO MUCH WALSH
Our third Eagles concert..this one was extra special with the great Vince Gill doing so well on Take it to the Limit and Lying Eyes plus others..
But the preponderance of Joe Walsh numbers was grating. Frankly, songs that sound too similar and they were coming after each original Eagles number in the second set.
With a full orchestra and choir Wasted Time never sounded better !

HARMONIES STILL CHILL AND JOE STILL ROCKS
Caught the Feb16, 2024 show in Houston. Steely Dan opened and musically were fantastic. Don Fagan's vocal chops have been, well, chopped, but it was great to see him out there singing all of those hits. Eagles opened with Seven Bridges and the harmonies were spot on. Somebody, I think Vince Gill, threw in some cool bluegrass licks to envy. The band ripped through one Eagles hit after another, while Don Henley sang a great rendition of Boys of Summer and Joe was, well, Joe. At 76, his voice was strong and he remains a dynamic live rock guitarist. He did Funk 49, In the City, Life's Been Good and a rousing Rocky Mountain Way in the encore, and the crowd loved every one. Vince contributed vocals on Take It To the Limit and others and his guitar was a help, particularly a great solo dual with Joe late in the show. Deacon Frye was a nostalgic reminder of his dad. He sounds a little more Travis Tritt than Glen Frey, but it was cool to see him up there. All in all, a great performance.
